An audience of screaming tweens may not seem like the best place to drop some career wisdom, but Ashton Kutcher does it with such style we could all stand to listen.

Ashton Kutcher gets a bad rap sometimes.

When you heard he was slated to play Steve Jobs in the new movie about the legendary Apple creator, did you groan a little? Some of us did. After all, some of Kutcher’s most famous roles are playing the airheaded Michael Kelso on That ‘70s Show and the merry prankster on MTV’s Punk’d.

But you have to give the actor credit. When he took the stage recently to accept a Teen Choice Award, he took his acceptance speech to a deeper level. We’re sad to say that we doubt how many of the continuously screaming tweens in the audience absorbed the wisdom Kutcher was laying down, but we know that you’ll put it to good use.

So, check out the video below, in which Kutcher passionately shares some career advice gems we could all stand to learn from, like “opportunity looks a lot like hard work”:


Pretty good stuff, huh? And impressive that he chose to deliver it to an audience that, just a few short years ago, would have just as happily have seen him slimed.
