CareerBliss recently released a list of the best cities in America for young professionals to find happiness. Is yours one of them?
We often focus on which career will give us the most happiness, but have you ever considered which city could be the best place to find your “bliss”?
Job-search site CareerBliss recently announced its list of the top 20 U.S. cities with the happiest young professionals—and some of them may surprise you.
Los Angeles comes in first, then San Jose, followed by Sunnyvale, California—yes, the top three cities are all in California. So are No. 5 (San Diego) and No. 6 (Irvine). Indianapolis is the only non-California city in the top six.
Wondering whether your city made the list? Check out the full list here.
These results are based on CareerBliss’s analysis of more than 38,000 employee reviews completed between 2011 and 2012. Young professionals (defined as employees with less than 10 years’ experience in a full-time position) rated key factors affecting workplace happiness, including work/life balance, compensation, company culture, overall work environment, company reputation, relationships with managers and co-workers, opportunities for growth, job resources, daily tasks and job autonomy.
Is your city on the list? Would you ever consider moving somewhere based on a ranking like this?
